Foliar-Pak Internship: The Halfway Point

Laying out some test plots on the driving range tee at Shady Hollow Country Club.

July brings fireworks, high temps, and the halfway point of my Foliar-Pak internship. I have spent the past five weeks visiting golf courses throughout Northeast Ohio to talk with superintendents, test a few new products, and collect media and marketing information. I also had the opportunity to travel to Kentucky to visit Foliar-Pak customers with Advanced Turf Solutions sales rep, Brad Nevitt.

From my EnP colleagues and distributor reps to the golf course superintendents and crew members, the people in this industry are truly great! Superintendents have allowed me to interview them, take photos, and even do product trials on their course. I am both impressed and grateful for the excitement, friendliness, and cooperation of everyone in the Foliar-Pak community.

The remainder of my summer internship includes more work on product trials and projects with the Xylem Marketing team. Keep an eye out for the 2018 Foliar-Pak product catalog and a new website coming this fall, and look for my posts on social media (@foliarpak accounts signed -ST) to see where I’ve been!

About the Author Storm Timberlake

As an intern, I work with EnP and the Xylem Marketing team on various aspects of marketing from product development and testing to product launch and the entire marketing communications process in between. I even get to spend time on the golf course working with superintendents, running product trials, and collecting data. My work contributes to Foliar-Pak’s marketing research and product development, which will translate to more tools for Foliar-Pak distributors and better products for customers!
